So I finally got around to write about my magical trip to L.A. back in August. It was short, albeit amazing, trip to the city of angels and I loved every minute of it. I actually went to visit my soul mate, a.k.a. my best friend for 5 days to catch up and reconnect after a year being apart – trust me, the distance hurts.

Even though my trip to L.A. was really, really short, I truly enjoyed my time there and would love to go back. Due to the lack of time on our hands, we decided not to do the typical touristy stuff like visiting the Hollywood sign, going downtown, etc. etc. and instead to just focus on the true beauty of the region, i.e. the beaches. Hence, I decided to spend my time at the three beautiful beaches: Hermosa, Venice, and Malibu – trust me when I say this, I did not regret my decision.

Our days usually started with us catching up over some coffee and bagels and then getting ready to take a stroll on Hermosa beach. My friend lives literally 5 minutes from it so it was pretty refreshing to experience that again – for those who don’t know, I grew up by the beach till I moved to Canada when I was 16 so experiencing that again really got me all nostalgic.

Its true what they say about Los Angeles, it really is a city of dreams, nostalgia and gorgeous sunsets. The time I spent there truly nourished my soul as I rekindled the mermaid within me, spending all my time by the beaches with the sand underneath my toes and the sounds of waves crashing on the shore. The long drives by the coastline really ignited a joy within me that I hadn’t felt in a whiiiile. Also, the food I had while I was there was just utterly delicious. I honestly ate so much the foodie within me rejoiced tremendously.

I am actually amazed I haven’t gone back because writing about it right now makes me wanna go book a ticket and jet off again *giggles*.
