Happy Sunday!

This past has been a whiiiiiiiirl wind and a lot happened. I don’t wanna bore you with an intro per se so let’s just get to it straight 🙂

le Recap

So this past week I tried recording two vlogs but they kind of sort of, failed… I mean they didn’t exactly fail, I was supposed to do a day in my life kind of video but nothing interesting happened so I decided to do a two-day vlog and a shit ton of interestings happened on the second day and now I feel it is going to be a very long video if I stitch the two videos together like I originally planned. However, if I just do the second day video it would be very off because I keep referring to the first day through out the entire thing, so… do you see the problem here? sigh…
Anyways, I know I’ll be doing the two-day vlog post so let’s just say it is going to be a long one, so be warned.
Other than the vlog dilemma, the week was super productive. I ended up receiving the clothing rack I got from Wayfair a whole week early and so I guess my bedroom is going to be ready sooner than later – yay!  Oh and yeah I kind of meshed in the bedroom update in one of the videos of the two-day vlog so the actual bedroom update is going to be just an extension of it. It’s kind of like a trailer hyping you up for the actual thing kind of a deal – sorry, my content has been a mess lately because of the accident and I am trying super hard to ensure that next week isn’t a train wreck by starting afresh and having everything sorted and dealt with.
I have also created and organized the content plan for the blog so I am kind of relieved that come next week, I will have everything organized and handled, unlike this past week where I was literally winging it every day and while it worked a little, it kind of also didn’t – which is okay, considering.
And before we dig in to next week’s plan, let’s do a little blog recap:
So I posted two posts this week:
finally  did it! I rebranded Soul of Orion so it doesn’t mimic the awkward logo that was meant for the previous brand, A Painted Soul. The paint strokes are out and the celestial theme is in – which is what it should have been from the start but oh well. Read the post to get the full insight!
I had this epiphany the last week so I decided to put into words. Its been something that I have been dealing with and so I thought I’d share my take on the subject. So, have a read and let me know what you think 🙂

Shop the Look

Flowers teach hope and patience. Flowers teach tenderness. Flowers teach futility and amazement. You know me, I am always willing to learn. Besides, it is spring. The beautiful forces of nature refuse to remain silent and I feel like observing everything.

le New Slate

Ahhh, I am actually excited for this week to be honest. It is going to be a clean slate and I am hoping to be back on my routine again. In fact, the past week has been a bit of a reconstruction of my life and the blog. As I mentioned above, I rebranded Soul of Orion. I also created a fool proof masterplan for the content so I don’t fall off the wagon again like I almost did the past week and drove myself insane trying to keep up.
So to get into next week’s plans, it is going to be everything spring. Typical, I know. But I am so excited its not winter anymore and the days have started to drag longer that I can’t skip the excitement of the new season! I just can’t, I am sorry!

I will be doing a spring haul this week, as I plan on going shopping tomorrow and hoping to have a video for this ready for Thursday as was the original schedule – yay!

I am so tired of the winter layers that I cannot wait to update my wardrobe and get inspired for new looks. As many of you already know most of my outfits are made at home by my mother and moderately designed by yours truly – it’s kind of a collaboration. However, my mom needs to take a little break from that as she is gearing up for the opening of our shop later this season and so I decided to just curate some pieces myself for the blog and let her focus on the collection for Orion.

This means there will be loads of shopping, something I haven’t done in whiiiile, so I am excited and kind of feel giddy to be curating again after so long. The new thing this time would be to seek for pieces that are more sustainable and green as that is something I refuse to compromise on. Also, since I tackled the issue by having my mom make my clothes, I feel a little challenged as to where to begin considering I haven’t really delved into brands that are green and sustainable.

So, I guess what I am getting at is, its going to be an adventure and I will be taking you along with me as I research and curate pieces this week as well as the coming ones.

In conclusion, the theme in terms of looks and style is going to be sustainable fashion. Expect posts to be mainly about my search for sustainable pieces, brands that I find, the typical trial and error journey into finding my way through the sustainable fashion world and the likes.

I am actually excited for this one!

So, umm… I am kind of embarrassed to admit it but I haven’t yet finished last week’s read, mainly thanks to the hectic schedule I had.

Thus, this week’s read continues to be the same. I will be writing a review on it hopefully by the end of this week or the next so stay tuned for that 🙂

Weekly Goals

Yes, goals!

Bedroom Makeover

The bedroom is coming along great. I have been documenting the journey pretty nicely so I am hoping to have it released by next week. Like I mentioned in the recap above, I received the rack way ahead of time and it is all assembled and placed in the room. I now need to get a few floating shelves from ikea and mount them up. I also need to shop for plants and bit of decor. I have already bought all of the new furniture for the room. I am just waiting on a shelving unit to be delivered and have to build the frame for the bed. I also need to deal with the old furniture and arrange the new ones in the room. Basically, I have a lot of work cut out for me this week!

I will be doing a little bit of an inspiration post for the room this week before I reveal the end project next week – eeck, so so excited for this!

I will also be doing a before and after, so stay tuned yawl!

Content Creation

As I mentioned in the recap, I have been busy creating a content master plan that fool proof and aligns with the new brand. To prove to myself that I am serious I even got myself a content calendar – yay! I have planned out the coming weeks so I do not fall of the wagon ever again. As it is Spring I want to really focus on the bubbly aspect of it, think pinks, yellows, and a whole lot of blooms. I will be doing a lot of hauls and IGTV videos, short and sweet.

I plan on doing some skincare routines, clothing hauls, room decor, eatery, and a ton of discoveries in the Halton Region.

Exciting, exciting, exciting!

So stay tuned my love bugs and for reading up till the end, you a real champ my friend 😉
